Head coach of Ghana’s National Men’s Football Team (the Black Stars), Otto Addo, has stated that he expects his team to be drawn in a tough group at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Ghana will compete in the World Cup for the fifth time and is aiming to make a deep run in the competition beyond the group stage.
Speaking in an interview with Citi Sports, Otto Addo, who made history by becoming the first coach to qualify Ghana to the World Cup for the second time, expected Ghana to be drawn in a tough group on December 5.
“I know that at the moment Ghana is not ranked high so probably we will get a tough group so we have to expect that we get tougher opponents in our group and we have to deal with it.”

“We will see what we will get and I’m excited about that. For me, the most important thing is to overcome the group stage” Otto Addo said.
