Mr John Oremus Arkoh, District Chief Executive for Agona East has stated that he would form a "think tank" that would help accelerate the socio-economic advancement of the area.
He said the think tank would comprise technologists, engineers, academicians, lawyers, educationists and traditional rulers that would work hand in hand with the District Assembly towards the rapid development of the area.
"The time has come to tap all human and material resources and also explore trade and investments opportunities that would assist the newly created district to improve the living standards of the people".
Mr Arkoh was speaking to the Ghana News Agency in an interview to spell out his development plans for the district, after his confirmation at Mankrong-Junction in the Agona East District of the Central Region.
He said a program would be drawn on how to improve health, education, sanitation, roads and others to facilitate the development of the newly created district.
According to him, education and health would be his priorities since the two sectors were keys to economic development.
The DCE appealed to Non Governmental Organizations (NGOs), corporate bodies and investors to invest there.
Mr Arkoh noted that he would soon embark on a familization tour of the district to acquaint himself with problems facing the people in the various communities.
