Nana Atta Mensah II, Chief of Dadiesuoba in the Brong Ahafo Region on Monday described the inauguration of President John Dramani Mahama as impressive, saying the attendance of thousands of Ghanaians alone epitomized the President as a unifier.
He called on all Ghanaians, especially the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to recognize President Mahama as winner of the 2012 Presidential election and forge unity and peace.
Nana Mensah II told the Ghana News Agency after the swearing in at the Black Star Square in Accra that the number of people, who trooped to the ceremony, should tell the opposition that the President was the people's President.
Nana Mensah II urged President Mahama to use churches and chiefs to get the hierarchy of the NPP to come to understand the need for unity and join the government for national development.
"I came to the ceremony because the President is loved by all Ghanaians".
President Mahama and Vice President Kwesi Amissah-Arthur took the oath of office to the thunderous applause from the audience.
