Sales 2018 was on Wednesday launched in Accra to promote the products of indigenous businesses.The fair, which would run from September 27th to October 8th, 2018, would be opened to the general public at no cost, and is expected to attract about 500 exhibitors.
Dr. Agnes Adu, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Ghana Trade Fair Company (GTFC), said Grand Sales which was an annual fair, created an ideal platform for businesses to off-load their stocks and also, re-stock and prepare for the Christmas season.
“Grand sales encourages and promotes the buying of made in Ghana goods and these impacts on the national economy enormously,” She said. Dr. Adu urged exhibitors to register early for this year’s fair, and also encouraged the general public to make adequate preparations towards the fair.
She said a key aim of the GTFC was to grow and support businesses in the country, adding that business owners should take advantage of the fair and promote their businesses. The launch was done by Mr. Oscar Bafour, Secretary to the Board, GTFC.
Grand Sales is an annual fair which is held particularly in Accra and other regional capitals, typically to promote indigenous businesses.
