The certification included an; ISO 9001:2015, ISO14001:2015 and ISO45001:2018 and covers areas such as quality management systems, environmental management systems, occupational health and safety management systems.

At a ceremony to present the certificates on June 3, the Country Manager for U-ton Engineering, Mr Afugu, said the feat was very huge and a remarkable one for the company.

“As a business operating in the technology space, this certification means a lot to us as it solidifies our capacity to not just satisfy the needs of our clients but also ensure the safety of workers.”

“As a company, we have, over the years, put in several measures to ensure that our employees work under the best environmental, health and safety standards,” he stated.

He further went on to note that the certification did not signify the end of ensuring that the right thing was done but rather the beginning.

“I know that it is easy for companies to relax after achieving such feat but ISO is an internationally credible firm which would ensure the right thing is done.

As a company also we are committed to ensure that we get all hands on deck to ensure that we live up to expectation in these areas,” he noted.

Mr Afugu went on to appreciate the efforts of all stakeholders including employees and clients who, for him, “are the owners of the achievement”.

“I believe that without our stakeholders we wouldn’t be where we are today” he said.
