After a three-day boot camp where the last 24 contestants of music reality show MTN Hitmaker 6 were taken through voice training, stage performance, pitching among others, they had to battle it out at the final audition last Tuesday, August 29 to decide the final 12 candidates.
This however proved impossible as the overwhelming talent displayed by the contestants saw the judges select 16 contestants instead of 12 finalists who will out do each other on the main stage at the National Theatre come Tuesday, September 12.
Those who earned places on the final list are Fati, Freda Rhymz, Gilda, Evey Aminey, Josh, Shadey, Krymi, Qwo-djo, Drew, Kwesi Taadi, Yaw Berk, B.ryt, Veana, Nana Addo, Xali and D-forina.
The final 16 contestants will have their first taste of live band performance in front of a live audience on Tuesday. The general public is expected to be seated by 6pm.
Judges for the competition are award winning music producer, Kaywa, television/radio presenter, Caroline Sampson and entertainment critic, Francis Doku.
Contestants will be mentored by three of the best brains in beatmaking in Ghana—Richie Mensah, Magnum and DJ Breezy.
