Amal Clooney served up some summer style inspiration on her recent date night with George Clooney.
The couple were joined by their rock star friend Bono for a group outing at Manhattan's The Polo Bar restaurant. Amal wore a '90s-forward look from Stella McCartney — the brand's cherry print mesh midi dress, which retails for $1,250 and is almost sold out everywhere.
The dress featured a strapless neckline, as well as a subtle ruching effect at the back for a super-flattering silhouette. The cream colored dress design also nodded to the "food as fashion" trend, as it was printed with an abundance of deep red cherries from vines.
The couple's N.Y.C. reunion comes amid Amal's recent trips to France for the Cannes Film Festival and Osaka, Japan for the 2025 Cartier Women’s Initiative Impact Awards, while George is gearing up for his final performances of his Broadway play Good Night, and Good Luck.
Amal completed the look with a black and pearlescent clutch bag and gold Gianvito Rossi Plexi Pumps. George style his navy blue two-piece suit with a black polo shirt and matching black dress shoes. For a relaxed touch, the actor added a baseball cap.
Amal and George's night out comes after they celebrated a star-studded evening at Broadway's Good Night, and Good Luck the night prior on May 29. The couple was joined by several high profile guests Nancy Pelosi, Tanya Taylor, Hillary Clinton, Dr. Chelsea Clinton and more.
While hosting guests at Good Night, and Good Luck, the pair went more formal in black tie attire. George wore a classic tuxedo, and Amal was the picture of sophistication and elegance in a fitted black midi dress and her gold Gianvito Rossi Plexi Pumps.
Amal's support comes after she missed the opening night of the play on April 3. Her absence, however, was explained by George at the premiere. "She's with the kids," he told reporters, referring to their 7-year-old twins, Alexander and Ella.
Amal also made a solo appearance at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival on May 16 to support Bono at the premiere of his documentary Bono: Stories of Surrender.
She dazzled on the red carpet in an archival John Galliano–era Christian Dior gown that featured a dramatic train that seemingly broke the festival's strict new dress code, prohibiting "voluminous outfits, in particular those with a large train, that hinder the proper flow of traffic of guests and complicate seating in the theater are not permitted." (But she totally got away with it!)
