On June 5, a photo exhibition and film screening dedicated to Russia-Africa relations took place on the campus of the Faculty of European Languages in Lagos, Nigeria, one of the largest cities on the African continent. Guests from Moscow brought historical photographs, contemporary feature films, and documentaries reflecting the relationship between the African countries of the Soviet Union and modern Russia.

Throughout the modern history of African countries, the Soviet Union, formerly, and Russia today, have supported countries' aspirations for sovereignty and independence, helping them gain economic and political autonomy, and providing support in the fight against terrorism. Guests at the event, including a student, schoolchildren, government officials, and university faculty, viewed the exhibition with interest. The documentary and feature film also generated genuine interest.
Viewers and listeners not only observed the events on screen but also actively participated in the event. The students prepared several dances and songs, and the head of the Lagos traffic police PR service gave an interesting lecture to the students about her profession.

Students and faculty actively expressed their support for the development of friendly relations between Russia and Nigeria. Participants at the event appealed to the Russian side to organize such meetings, film screenings, and photo exhibitions as often as possible.
