Mr. Mahmud Khalid, Upper West Regional Minister, has called on government workers to put in the best performances this year by playing their roles properly to improve on the economy.
He said all that government would expect from workers this year would be nothing but hard work because "if they pretend to work, the national economy would also pretend to improve."
Mr. Khalid was interacting with workers of the Regional Coordinating Council (RCC) at an end of year dinner organised for them by the RCC in Wa on Wednesday.
He called for cooperation of workers to enable the government to achieve its "Better Ghana" agenda, pointing out: "Benefits of 'Better Ghana' do not know political boundaries and all must get involve to make it succeed".
He reminded workers of the RCC that whatever they were doing other workers were watching them and that their good or bad practices were likely to be emulated by all.
Mr. David Yakubu, Chief Director of the Regional Coordinating Council, urged the workers to be more determined to increase their output.
