The wife of the Chinese doctor who gunned down his Indian-American colleague Vajinder Toor is in "shock and despair" over the tragedy and has sent her condolences to Toor's family.
Lan Ma, wife of Lishan Wang, 44, said in a statement that she was in "shock and despair about the tragedy" and wants to protect her children. She hoped that God can help "overcome this hardship".
She expressed her condolences to the wife and child of Toor, who was gunned down by Wang in front of his condo on Monday in Branford.
Ma lives with her three children in Marietta, just north of Atlanta. Wang is being held on USD 2 million bail.
Police had found documents on two other former colleagues of Wang's in his van, along with 1,000 rounds of ammunition.
Toor's wife is six months pregnant and has a three year old son.
The police report said Wang was carrying a Google map of directions to his prey Toor's house and a photo ID of the Indian medic, a former colleague with whom he had clashed at Kingsbrook Jewish Centre in Brooklyn.
A disgruntled Wang, 44, who shot dead 34-year old Toor was also reportedly carrying directions to the homes of two other Brooklyn doctors, he blamed for getting him fired.
