Two drivers and a mason who allegedly robbed a hairdresser of her GH�130.00 at Buokrom in Kumasi have been arrested by the police.
Yaw Nimoh, 20, and Charles Donkor, 23, both drivers and Kwadwo Kumi, 29, are being held at the Kumasi Central police station.
Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Reverend Nyamekye Adane-Ameyaw, Commander of the Buffalo Unit, told the Ghana News Agency that the victim,
Abigail Abrokwa, joined the taxi cab driven by Nimoh from Duase to Kejetia on Tuesday, June 8, at about 0800 hours.
Donkor and Kumi were already on the vehicle.
He said midway through the journey, the two, who were together with the victim on the back seat, forcibly took an envelope containing the money from
her, ignoring her screams.
Nimoh on reaching the Buokrom junction pulled up, opened the door and they pushed Abigail out.
DSP Adane-Ameyaw said the taxi cab sped off as a police vehicle approached the scene and they gave them a chase.
They finally caught up with them and a search of the vehicle uncovered four cell phones, two driver's license and a National Health Insurance Card belonging to the victim.
