The Reverend Moses Azumah, Amansie West District Pastor of the Assemblies of God Church, has appealed to government to repair roads in the area, to facilitate socio-economic activities.
He cited that it was difficult for the people to travel to Saint Martin's Hospital at Agroyesum, the major health facility in the district, for treatment.
Rev Azumah, who made the call during the inauguration of the Antoakrom branch of the Church, called on Christians to eschew laziness and work hard towards the development of the church and country.
He asked politicians to avoid intemperate language and accommodate divergent views, to prevent political tension and acrimony.
Rev Godwin Tito Adjei, acting Ashanti Regional Superintendent Minister of the Church, called on Christians to pray and fast ceaselessly for God to intervene in the affairs of Ghana, adding that the country's problems were spiritual.
