Two hundred years of Latin American history would be portrayed in the films to be screened at the 15th edition of International Film Festival
of Kerala (IFFK) beginning here on December 10.
Films from Central Asia, Africa and Latin America would be the highlight of the festival, recognised by the Federation of International Press Association (FIPRESCI), Beena Paul, artistic director of IFFK, told PTI.
In the 'Forget Africa' section, that would screen films exclusively from the continent, 12 films would be shown, she said.
Films from the Philipines and Mozambique would also be part of the festival, the director said.
Five films of German director Werner Herzog and the works of Taiwanese director Apichatpony Wersethalkal would also be shown as part of the retrospective section.
The 35-second signature film of IFFK 2010 was released in the capital city of South Indian state of Kerala Sunday by Transport Minister Jose Thettayil, who is also a film enthusiast.
