Voting ended in the remaining 23 Electoral Areas in the Upper West Region that could not exercise their franchise in the District Level Elections scheduled for December 28.
Investigations by the Ghana News Agency (GNA) revealed that nine electoral areas in the region could not take part in the elections due to the inability of the Electoral Commission (EC) to supply them with the required voting materials.
Mr Yahaya Mahama, Regional Director of the Electoral Commission has confirmed that after the Tuesday 28 December polls the affected electoral areas could not participate in the exercise.
