The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Afigya-Kwabre, Mr Kwaku Oppong-Kyekyeku Kaakyire, has repeated the government’s determination to ensure equity and fairness in the distribution of the nation’s resources.
He said no community would be denied its deserved share of development under the Mills Administration’s “Better Ghana” agenda.
The DCE said this when he inspected a six-classroom block with office, store, library and teachers’ common room being built at Abidjan, a cocoa growing community, in the district, through the support of the Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund).
The project, which has reached the roofing level, would end the present situation where school children in the area hold classes under trees.
Mr Oppong-Kyekyeku said he was happy with the progress and quality of work done by the contractors and said every effort should be made to complete the job on schedule.
He later inspected work on a three-classroom block at Duaponko financed from the District Development Fund.
