The Asuogyaman District Chief Executive (DCE), Mr Johnson Ahiakpor, has called on contractors working on projects in the district to complete them on time.
He said this would enable the people to benefit from the investments made in the projects by the government.
The DCE made the call when he inspected ongoing projects in the district, on Tuesday, to find out their state of progress.
Among the projects inspected were the construction of a GHC150,000 community clinic at Atimpoku, the construction of a modern court house for the Senchi Ferry Magistrate Court, at the cost of GHC160,000, which is expected to be completed by August, as well as five school projects, which would provide classrooms for pupils studying under trees.
Mr Ahiakpor also inspected work in the Sapor market, where 16 stalls were being constructed.
He said the GHC61,000 project was being funded through the District Development Fund (DDF) and the Common Fund, adding that, after the completion of the sheds for the stalls, the Assembly would develop a car park.
Mr Ahiakpor said he had initiated moves to get the Manya Krobo District Assembly to partner the Asuogyaman District Assembly, to push for the rehabilitation of the road from Sapor, to join the Oterkporlu - Odumase road.
He said the road would make it possible for vehicles from Koforidua to get to the Sapor market quicker, especially on market days.
