Chief Superintendent of Police Kwadwo Antwi-Tabi, the Tarkwa Divisional Police Commander, has cautioned police personnel in the Tarkwa division to desist from practices that bring shame to the service.
He told the GNA in an interview at Tarkwa that some police personnel bullied and extorted money from suspects and innocent people.
Mr Antwi-Tabi said police personnel who would be caught engaging in such acts would be dealt with according to the laws of the Service and of
the country.
He appealed to the public to report any police personnel who would extort money from them to report to the appropriate authorities.
Mr Antwi-Tabi said the apathy by people to report crimes and suspects to the police was a source of worry to the Service.
