The Akim Oda Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday imposed a fine of GH¢200 on Henry Oko Adjetey, unemployed, for impersonation and possessing forged documents or in default serve 12 months in prison.
Police Chief Inspector Kwaku Appiah told the court presided over by Mr Albert Owusu Annor that the Bureau of National Investigation (BNI) was notified that Adjetey was selling the just ended Basic Education Certificate Examination questions at Akim Oda.
He said a search conducted in his house revealed military items including name tag, identity card and two caps which according to the prosecutor, were intended to deceive the general public that Adjetey was a military personnel.
Other item also found in his room was a certificate purported to have been issued from the “Sowah Gift College of Commerce”.
Chief Inspector Appiah said in Adjetey’s cautioned statement, he said he was once a soldier, but was discharged in 2008, but did not surrender the items to the military authorities.
He said he was a student the commercial college; however, he obtained the certificate from staff of the college.
