The Headmistress of the Ebenezer Senior High School (SHS) has appealed to Government to make the school a boarding facility to check lateness and absenteeism.
Ms Anasthasia Afua Konadu, in an interview with Ghana News Agency (GNA) said some of the fortunate students whose parents had rented a place for them were even creating problems for the school because there was no control over them.
"They are hanging around because the rooms are outside the school the teachers cannot go to somebody's room and control students," she said
According to the Headmistress, the school's girls' dormitory with beds was eighty-five per cent completed but abandoned.
Prof Jonathan Ammah, a member of the PADUA 73 year group, said the school had been in existence since 1941 and he prayed that it would attain a boarding schools status soon.
Ebenezer SHS is a mixed day school in the Ablekuma West Constituency with an enrolment of one thousand, nine hundred and ninety-four students. It is seventy-nine years old.
