He said such meetings were necessary to update stakeholders on the scope of work, as well as challenges that were encountered to ensure necessary redress.

Mr Gunu inspecting ongoing projects in the Hohoe Municipality as part of his working visit, checked on ongoing works on the Hohoe to Logba Vuinta section of the Eastern Corridor Road, the Hohoe Light Industrial Area and the Fodome Campus of the University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS), as well as some private businesses.

He said he was in touch with the road Sector Minister to attend to all construction works, as well as ensure that contractors were paid timely.

Mr Gunu urged the contractor to employ people in the locality in their work and also do a good job.

Mr Thomas Worlanyo Tsekpo, the Member of Parliament (MP) for the Hohoe Constituency, commended the contractor for the ongoing works.
He said it was hoped that work would reach a significant stage with the availability of funds by December 2025.

Togbega Gabusu VII, the Paramount Chief of Gbi Traditional Area, said the people of Gbi would appreciate the results achieved by the contractor, adding that the nature of the road coupled with the excessive dust continued to affect residents.

Mr Leonard Mensah, the Road Area Manager, Ghana Highway Authority, Hohoe, said the construction of the drains had advanced and would be ready by end of September, while other works continued with the availability of funds.

At the Light Industrial Site which hosted warehouses, garages and factories, Mr Gunu was pleased with the work and plans for the Area and said a report would reach the Presidency.

Mr Prosper Kumi, the Hohoe Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), said the Assembly would showcase its technological assets during the 2025 Volta Trade and Investment Fair and call for investments.
He said the Municipality was ready to host the government's Farmer Service Centres and appealed for the machines. Togbe Osei III, the Chief of Gbi Godenu, said the authorities were ready to donate more lands for expanded projects. He pleaded for employment opportunities to cover the community members and the families of those who gave out their land.

At the UHAS Fodome Campus, Mr Gunu asked the construction firm to display their work plan outlining their activities, saying the project was the 'NDC's baby' and would ensure that it was completed to enable other facilities to be added. Miss Yaa Amankwaa Opuni, Registrar, UHAS, said the University had received assurances from the President on the completion of the Fodome Campus.

She said 58 per cent of the work was completed and they hoped it would be fully completed early for other added projects to be initiated.

The University currently has a student population of 2,235 students pursuing undergraduate, postgraduate and sandwich courses.
