Addressing CoSP 11 of the UN Convention Against Corruption, he stressed Ghana’s firm commitment to transparency and accountability, anchored in strong political leadership, preventive reforms, asset recovery and resilient institutions, while calling for deeper international cooperation.

A major highlight was Ghana’s role in securing the first-ever UNCAC resolution on transparency in political party financing and election campaigns. Working with Norway, Albania and Mongolia, Ghana led negotiations that affirmed citizens’ right to know who funds politics.

The conference, held under the theme “Shaping Tomorrow’s Integrity,” ended with the adoption of the Doha Declaration 2025, which reinforces global resolve to strengthen transparency, accountability, and integrity in democratic governance.
