The Volta Regional Coordinating Council (VRCC) has held a special prayer devotion session as part of its weekly “Fellowship with God” programme.
The devotion, held on Monday, January 13, brought together management and staff for a moment of reflection, prayer, and recommitment to public service.
Addressing the gathering, Mr James Gunu, Volta Regional Minister, declared 2026 as a year of transformation and a period to accelerate development efforts in the region.
He emphasized that meaningful progress and lasting success could only be achieved through God’s guidance and the collective commitment of all staff.
The Regional Minister prayed for peace in the homes of staff, good health, and renewed strength to enable them to discharge their duties diligently.
He urged staff to remain united, focused, and disciplined in their work, noting that their dedication and professionalism were critical to the successful implementation of government programmes and policies.
Mr Gunu further called on staff to align their efforts with the Government’s Reset Agenda, particularly in addressing poverty, unemployment, and underdevelopment in the region.
He expressed confidence that with teamwork, sacrifice, and divine direction, the Volta Region would experience significant socio-economic transformation in the year ahead.
The devotion was led by Elder Professor Yaw Peasah, Founder and Leader of the El Bethel Prayer Centre, who delivered a powerful message on spiritual leadership and governance.
He underscored the need for integrity, humility, and accountability in public administration and reminded participants that effective leadership is anchored in service to God and humanity.
Elder Prof Peasah led intercessory prayers for peace, unity, and sustainable development in the Volta region and the nation at large.
The session ended on a hopeful note, with staff expressing renewed motivation and commitment to contributing their quota towards the region’s development and national progress.
