Mr. Aggrey Ntim, Deputy Minister of Communications, has repeated the call on the Youth to acquire employable skills to be self-reliant.
He urged them to register and take advantage of the government's Youth In Employment Programme.
Mr. Ntim made the call at a Thanksgiving Service to mark the Silver Jubilee of the Covenant Presbyterian Church at Dzorwulu on the theme, "Pressing On To Perfection With Jesus" at the weekend.
The Deputy Minister commended the founding fathers of the Church for their foresight and sacrifices and urged the members to continue in the "Footsteps" of the pioneers.
In a sermon, the Reverend Charles Ahwireng, Kaneshie District Minister-in-Charge of the Presbyterian Church, reminded Christians of their role in the effort to establish God's Kingdom on Earth.
Rev Ahwireng said as the salt of the earth, Christians should lead upright lives for others to emulate.
The Reverend Mark Boye, Resident Minister-in-Charge of the Covenant Presby Church, in an anniversary message, called on Christians to lead in the quest to unite Ghanaians.
He appealed to members of National Association of Graduate Teachers (NAGRAT) to return to the classroom while they negotiated for better working conditions.
Rev Boye advised the Media to be circumspect in their reportage and to guard against utterances that would inflame passions.
A total of 198.5 million cedis, was realized in a special harvest in aid of a Church building complex.
