The German Government is to assist 42 communities in Bosomtwe District with 89 bore holes.
Mr Mark Tachie, Bosomtwe District Officer in-charge of water, who announced this said the project would commence next week and being funded through KFV at an estimated cost of GH¢623,000.
He said KFV would pay 90 per cent of the cost, five per cent by the beneficiary community and the assembly would pay the remaining five per cent.
Some of the beneficiary communities are, Yaase, Bonkoko, Obobo, Prabon Toanfom and Edwinase.
Mr Tachie announced this when Mr James Fosu, Bosomtwe District Chief Executive paid a familiarisation tour of Edwinase.
Other communities visited were, Kuntanase, Kokodei, Deduako and Piase.
He said in addition, some people from the beneficiary communities would be trained on the proper handling and repair of the boreholes.
At Kuntanase, Nana Appiah Afari, Chief Linguist appealed to Government to inaugurate a two storey post office block constructed some few years ago but had become a 'white elephant'.
He urged the assembly to provide Kuntanase with a Senior High/Technical School and pledged to provide land while the people support with communal labour.
Mr Fosu assured chiefs and people of an open administration to develop the district.
Mr Felix Osei-Bonsu, Bosomtwi District Health Insurance Scheme Manager, called on the people to renew their registration a month before they expired to avoid any difficulty when in need.
He appealed to parents to ensure they registered with scheme together with their children below 18 years of age to enable them have access to better health care delivery.
