The Fundamental Baptist Fellowship Association (FBFA), a Christian organization based in the USA, Wednesday donated two desk computers worth over 500 US dollars to the Adaklu Kodzobi Complex School in the Adaklu Anyigbe District.
Mama Nyuiemedi I, Development Queen of the town, who made the donation on behalf of the Association, said it was in response to an appeal made by Togbe Dzegblade IV, chief of the town to the Association during a visit to the town last year.
She assured that the Association would donate more computers to the school on their next visit in October, this year.
"The Association will assist the community to realize its noble aim of building a computer laboratory for the school," she said.
Mama Nyuiemedi, known in private life as Mrs Alice Gainer, an African-American appealed to the teachers to take good care of the computers to ensure that they last long.
Mr Stanley Ansah, Head teacher of the school said the absence of computers in the school was hindering teaching and learning of Information and Communication Technology (ICT).
He said the donation of the computers was therefore a big relief for both teachers and pupils and assured that they would be used for the benefit of the pupils.
At the same ceremony, Mr Gershon Shine Deh, a printer and a native of the town also donated assorted books worth over 300 Ghana cedis to the school.
