The Chiefs and people of Atwima-Mponua have appealed for a police vehicle, the absence of which has led to the upsurge of crime in the area in recent times.
They said the only vehicle at the Nyinahin police station which served the whole District had broken down beyond repairs for almost one year.
Making the appeal through the Ghana News Agency at Nyinahin on Wednesday, Mr Raphael Awuah, Assembly man for the area said the people have to hire taxi cabs at cut throat charges for police officer to visit crime sites, a situation he described as "very disturbing".
He expressed worry about the rampant road accidents on the Nyinahin highway and asked for speed ramps to be constructed to stem the trend.
