Chief Inspector A.A. Duodu told the Wamfie District Court that Mr Charles Peprah operated a hardware shop at Wamfie.
He said on May 20, Mr Peprah found that four pieces of iron rod were missing from the shop and launched an investigation.
While searching for the missing rods he had a tip-off that Yeboah had offered similar rods for sale to someone but the buyer declined the offer because the seller was not a known hardware dealer in the area.
He report was made to the policed and he was arrested.
