Reverend Samuel Yao Kwami, former Director of Mission and Evangelism of the Global Evangelical Church, has added his voice to the call on political parties to bury their differences and rally behind the government to ensure national development.
He said now that the 2008 general election was over, there was the need for all parties to unite and fight for the common goal to ensure a better Ghana.
Rev. Kwami made the call at a rally organised by the Accra Presbytery of the Church at Teshie, in the Greater Accra Metropolis on Saturday, which was on theme: "Prayer the foundation for accelerated growth."
Rev. Kwami, who is also the Parish Priest of the Tema Community Four Branch of the church, advised drivers to be disciplined to help reverse the recent spate of road accidents in order to safe life and property.
He called on parents to take active interest in the education of their children to enable them to grow to become useful citizens.
Rev. Kwami called on the Church to help solve cyber fraud, popularly called "sakawa", which he said, had eaten deep into the Ghanaian youth.
Rev Mawule Agudogo, Pastor in charge of Teshie Branch of the church, advised religious leaders to use the pulpit to educate their members on government's policies and programmes.
