The Ashanti Regional Branch of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Constituency Secretaries Association, has congratulated Mr. Sylvestor Mensah, a former Member of Parliament for Dadekotopon, on his appointment as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the National Health Insurance Council.
It said his appointment by President John Evans Atta Mills has reiterated his pledge to marshal people of requisite and distinctive qualities to serve the people of the country.
This was contained in a statement signed by Mr. Goldwin Dela and Mr. Daniel Frimpong, Chairman and Secretary respectively of the Association.
The statement said Mr Mensah is an embodiment of hard work, selflessness, dedication and efficiency and these qualities featured prominently in all aspects of his endeavours.
The statement said Mr. Mensah had a very successful association with the NDC, having served as the Greater Accra Youth Organizer and Regional Secretary of the party where he crowned it with an exceptional stint as MP.
It said his hard work helped to improve the living conditions of the people in his constituency which projected him as an icon of development.
The statement said Mr. Mensah "wields a lot of experience in administration coupled with his sense of discipline, commitment, dedication, efficacy and humility and it is our hope that he will use his experience to improve the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS)."
