John Kusaasi, a 30-year-old carpenter, was electrocuted at Nyinahin when he touched a metal television pole in his house.
Unknown to him the pole had come into contact with a high voltage electricity cable following a heavy downpour, Police Sergeant Stephen Owusu of the Nyinahin District Police Station told the Ghana News Agency last Saturday.
He said soon after the rains the deceased decided to clear water that had flooded his house and in the course of doing so he touched the television pole.
Sergeant Owusu said the body had been deposited at the Bibiani Government Hospital mortuary.
