The team was in the municipality to inspect the progress of the 22 projects being undertaken under the UPRP and SIF.
The team also looked through the cash books of the assembly to know how funds meant for the projects had been utilized.
The projects include an abattoir, Information, Communication and Technology centre for teachers, a market, industrial estate, modern toilets, warehouse, stores and modern lighting system in the municipality.
The MCE said so far a total of 565,246.56 Ghana Cedis had been spent on the projects from June 2008 to May 2009. Works are expected to be completed by the end of the year.
Mr Obeng-Forson appealed to the delegation for more projects to help improve on the living conditions of the people.
He appealed to the chiefs, land owners and heads of families in Agona West to release lands for more UPRP/SIF projects.
Mrs Elizabeth Nkrumah, Central and Western Regional Zonal Co-ordinator of UPRP/SIF, who led the team, commended the municipal assembly for the excellent and speedily manner the constructional works were undertaken.
She assured the MCE that the request for more projects would be considered since the assembly has kept its cash books clean.
Mrs Nkrumah urged the assembly to extend its expertise to other districts, which had benefited from the UPRP/SIF programme to enable them to complete their projects on schedule.
