Dr Hanna Louisa Bisiw, Deputy Minister of Education, on Saturday said Education is the best option for a secured future of a country because it contributes meaningfully to its socio-economic development.
She said one of the important reason for education was to attain knowledge and to a "large extent place one high in society and that without it, one is unable to take life to its maximum, or live it to the fullest."
Dr Bisiw was speaking at Kasoa during the fifth graduation day of the Help Child Academy.
She said ones level of educational achievements will certainly be called to play by the state and advised pupils and students to learn hard to attain the highest level of education.
Dr Bisiw said a good education must lead to a good moral life and character as well as ones relation to others.
She called on social and religious institutions as well as the schools to share the work of moral education in society for the best results to be achieved.
Dr Bisiw urged the students to live by the good moral virtues being inculcated in them and to show respect to all persons they come in contact with, adding that, "by doing so it would help you live moral lives required to make you responsible adults in future."
She stressed the need for discipline among the students and to shun peer pressure and urged parents to instill good attributes in their wards.
Mr James Darkwa, Headmaster of the Academy, said the institution has grown from 12 to 150 students and recently won the science quiz competition from among 20 other schools.
The proprietor of the Academy, Mr Philip Boateng said the institution is assisting 22 needy but bright children with their education.
