Mr. Emmanuel Kwadwo Agyekum, Nkoranza South District Chief Executive, has appealed to religious leaders to use the pulpit to promote discipline among the youth to be law-abiding and to respect authority.
He was addressing the close of a three-day convention of the Brong-Ahafo region 'B' Women's fellowship of Apostles Continuation Church at Nkoranza.
Mr Agyekum said it was disheartening the way some young people talked to the elderly and insulted people in authority including political leaders and traditional authorities.
"If such behaviours and attitudes are not corrected they would have adverse effect on the country's development and we cannot have any responsible leaders in future", Mr. Agyekum said.
Rev Solomon Mayeden, Nkoranza District Pastor of the church, appealed to couples in his sermon to desist from consulting spiritualists and soothsayers for stable marriages.
