A heavy storm with winds of up to 120 kilometers per hour hit Wales and southern England in Britain, causing flooding and damage in some parts of the country.
Trees and power lines were brought down in Somerset county, which has been battered by high winds and heavy rain, according local media reports on Saturday.
The BBC reported that fire crews were called to the Somerset town of Cannington on Friday night where part of a flat felt roof was ripped off, bringing down power and phone lines.
In Haywards Heath, West Sussex, people had to be rescued from four units on an industrial estate after being flooded by about 2 feet (60cm) of water.
In Somerset, severe weather warnings have been issued and the Environment Agency has put flood warnings in place on the River Parrett and
River Isle.
Local fire services have been dealing with localized floods and car rescues, and weather and flood warnings remain in place in many parts of the country, the reports said.
