At least three civilians were killed Thursday in two separate bomb blasts in the Iraqi capital Baghdad, according to the Iraqi website Alsumaria News.
A bomb in a parked car exploded in the predominantly Shiite Muslim district of Hurriyah in the northwest of Baghdad, leaving two people dead and three injured, security officials said.
Another civilian died when his car was blown up in central Baghdad, added the report.
Violence in Iraq has dropped dramatically in recent years, but near-daily attacks still take place amid a festering political feud between the country's Sunni Muslim politicians and Shiite Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki.
Sunnis have held mass protests in recent weeks in western and northern Iraq against what they say is al-Maliki's marginalization of the formerly dominant Sunni minority.
The protesters also demanded the repeal of an anti-terrorism law they claim mainly targets Sunnis.
