A 34-year old fisherman, Kofi Togah, met his untimely death when he got drown in Tano River during fishing expedition at Wassa Dunkwa.
A source close to the Western Regional Crime Office that confirmed the story to the Ghana News Agency in Sekondi on Friday, said the tragedy occurred when the late Togah went to inspect his fishing trap in the River.
The police said a search party from Wassa Dunkwa retrieved the body from the River on January 13.
An autopsy report issued by Dr. Mohammed Naziru Tanko, a senior medical officer at the Asankragwa Catholic Hospital, indicates that the deceased died of "Asphyxia".
The body had been buried after it was identified by Ebenzer Sowah, father of the deceased.
