It is near Chiraa in the Sunyani West District of Brong-Ahafo Region.

The Clinic, with initial health staff of four – a physician assistant, a general nurse, a midwife and a community health nurse has among others an emergency ward, consulting and delivery rooms.  The Diocese and the Chiraa Circuit of the church contributed GH? 40,000.00, Mr Baffour- Awuah, also provided GH? 85,000.00 covering the provision of 20 packets of roofing sheets, painting and furnishing and other works whilst the community provided free land, sand, gravels and labour for the completion of the project.

Addressing a durbar organised by the Church for the inauguration of the project, Mr Baffour-Awuah advised the staff to discharge their duties with divine attributes by being humane, compassionate, loving, sympathetic and empathetic towards the sick who would be accessing the services of the clinic.

The MP said when these qualities are exhibited by health personnel it form a reasonable percentage of the healing process of the sick. He lauded Right Reverend Kofi Asare Bediako, Methodist Bishop of Sunyani for his untiring efforts in combining pastoral duties with the provision of social and economic infrastructure like health and educational facilities not only to promote the spiritual well-being of the people but to enhance their standard of living.

Most Reverend Dr Robert Aboagye-Mensah, a former Presiding Bishop of the Church and a native of the town expressed joy for the inauguration of the project, saying residents and those in surrounding villages would no longer have to travel to Chiraa and Sunyani for basic health services.

He appealed to the Diocesan Office of Health Services and the Board and Management of the Wenchi Municipal Methodist Hospital to make strenuous efforts to obtain National Health Insurance Scheme accreditation for the clinic for increased coverage and service delivery to the people in the community and its environs.

Rt Rev Bediako said the Church and the state are both partners in development for the socio-economic well-being of the people. He added that its role in the provision of socio-economic amenities facilitated its evangelising mission to reach all people with the gospel message of Jesus Christ.
