The parliamentary candidates for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the New Patriotic Party (NPP)for the Ningo-Prampram Constituency have expressed their satisfaction at the ongoing election process.
Mr Sylvester Tetteh, Parliamentary Candidate for the NPP, told the Ghana News Agency at the Dzidas Cinema Hall ‘2B’ at Old Ningo that the election process had been calm in the constituency.
Mr Tetteh indicated that he was yet to receive any report of anomalies from his agents at the 93 polling stations.He expressed the hope that the calm environment would persist throughout the day adding that he was impressed at the high turnout.Mr Samuel Nartey George, Parliamentary Candidate of the NDC, also confirmed the smooth election process in the constituency.
Mr Nartey George however claimed there were some few hitches which he refused to comment on stating he was not ready to grant an interview on that. Superintendent of Police Alex Kumangtani, Prampram District Commander, also confirmed that peaceful nature of the polling exercise in the constituency. Superintendent Kumangtani said he had visited several polling centres in the District and was happy that all was calm.
Meanwhile, the Electoral Commission officials as at 10:30 hours were seen busily setting up a projector screen at the constituency’s collation centre at the Great Ningo Police Station.
