The New Patriotic Party (NPP) delegates in Aowin have elected new constituency executives to oversee the affairs of the party in the next four years.
Madame Joana Morcher, the incumbent Women Organizer, won with 308 whilst Madame Constance Asare and Madame Esther Ama Duku pulled 258 and 149 votes respectively.
Mr Samuel Obeng lost the Secretary position with 181 votes and the incumbent, Mr Felix Foster Ackah, maintained the seat with 530 votes.
Mr Patrick Amoah beat his two counterparts Mr Evans Abiaw and Mr Vincent Nana Owusu with 259 votes as against 225 and 226 votes for the Assistant Secretary position.
The incumbent Chairman, Mr Samuel Ebbah Boadi pulled 663 votes and Mr Francis Kwaw Cudjoe was defeated with 50 votes.
Mr K.K. Korankye was elected the First Vice Chairman with 499 votes, whilst Mr Joseph Ntaa Brentu and Mr Awuah Awomeah lost with 199 votes and 14 votes respectively.
The Second Vice Chairman, Mr Alfred Divine Sangmoah maintained his position with 533 votes to beat Mr J.S Mesu who had 177 votes.
The Nassara Coordinator, Alhaji Iddrisu Shaibu was retained unopposed.
The Treasurer went to Mr P. A Ngoah with 623 votes and David Quansah Yeboah lost with 94 votes.
Mr Alfred Akwaboah Quayson, the Incumbent Organizer, who called for a recount of the ballot papers lost with 309 votes and Mr Bensoh Prince Afful had 94 votes whilst Mr Isaac Brew defeated the two contenders with 315 votes.
Mr Gabriel Anokye obtained 331 votes for Youth Organizer position, Francis Barfo had 260 votes and Solomon Brew polled 128 votes.
Addressing the delegates after the elections, Mr Samuel Ebbah Boadi, the Chairman-elect promised to work hard to retain the NPP in power come 2020 general elections.
Mr Stephen Aseidu, the Electoral Commission officer for Aowin District supervised the elections and a total of 718 delegates voted in the exercise.
