According to the survey for the position of Regional First Vice- Chairman, Horace Ekow Ewusi was in the lead with 99 of the polls, constituting 43 per cent.

The survey which was conducted in all 23 constituencies in the region solicited responses from a total sample of 230 people, representing 10 respondents who are constituency executives from each constituency.

The AFSUR survey further revealed that eight out of the nine candidates in Chairman Kutin’s team were highly projected to win their respective regional positions.

The survey was based on four key voter concerns; the commitment of an aspirant towards party work prior to the 2016 general elections in the region, the contribution of an aspirant towards the 2016 general election in the region, leverage to the corridors of power and loyalty to the party.

Results

The method used in the poll was interaction with delegates and the outcome of the polls included; for the position of Regional Chairman, Robert Kutin Jnr polled 159, constituting 70 per cent, while Benjamin Ayeh polled 65, constituting 27 per cent and E.K Dadson polled six, constituting three per cent.

 For the position of Regional First Vice Chairman, Horace Ekow Ewusi was in the lead with 99 of the polls, constituting 43 per cent, Joe Donkor had 91, constituting 40 per cent, Agyeman Kessie had 34 making 15 per cent, with six undecided polls making three per cent.

In the polls for the Regional Second Vice-Chairman, Frank Hutchful polled 115, making 15 per cent of the total polls, Kingsley Karikari Bondzie had 100 of the polls constituting 43 per cent and Ebo Jackson had 15, making seven per cent.

For the Regional Secretary position, Richard Takyi-Mensah polled 148 constituting, 64 per cent of the polls, George Kwadwo Ayisi had 73 making 32 per cent, with nine undecided, constituting four per cent.

The polls for the Regional Deputy Secretary showed that Sarah Afful got 164 of the polls, making 71 per cent, Murtala Mohammed had 61 making 27 per cent, and five undecided, constituting two per cent.

For the Regional Treasurer, Dr Joseph Essibu had 150 making 65 per cent, Sam Quarm had 75 making 33 per cent, with five undecided polls making two per cent.

The Regional Organiser position poll results had Percy Dennis gaining 119 of the polls constituting 52 per cent, Francis Ejaku Donkoh with 70 making 30 per cent, John Amoah with 29 making 13 per cent and Emmanuel Bruno with 12 making five per cent.

For the Regional Nasara Coordinator, Abubakar Osuman polled 149 constituting 65 per cent, Abubakar Alhassan polled 41 with 18 per cent, Gafaru Seidu polled 23 with 10 per cent and Alhaji Say Mallah polled 17 with seven per cent.

The position of Regional Women Organiser had Charlotte Adwoa Antwi having 97 of the polls, constituting 42 per cent, Agnes Owusu with 84, constituting 37 per cent and Evangelist Gifty Acquah gaining 41, constituting 21 per cent.

The position of Regional Youth Organiser poll results had Anthony Sackey getting 105 of the polls, making 46 per cent, Kenneth Quansah had 103, making 45 per cent, Justice Asiedu had 10, making four per cent, with 12 undecided polls, constituting five per cent.
