Mr Andrews Diabene AKA "Abedetus"Assemblymember for Adontua Electoral Area at Betom in New Juaben South Municipality said he was sure to be retained by the electorate.
He explained that after doing a lot for the people in his electoral area it was just a matter of time for him to be retained.
Mr Diabene is being challenged by two other candidates for the electoral area.
He was was speaking to the Ghana News Agency(GNA)in an interview at Betom in the Eastern Region.
Mr Diabene mentioned some of his achievements in the electoral area to include; restoration of over 70 faulty street lights in the area, with the help of the New Juaben South Municipal Assembly and some community members.
He said through his efforts, old electrical wires in the area was replaced by the Electricity Company of Ghana and also provided them with a transformer which helped to stabilise power supply to the electoral area.
Mr Diabene said for the two terms that he was in office, he used his own resources to register 600 children and elderly people unto the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS}.
Mr Diabene said he lobbied for new ultra-modern toilet, which is about 50 per cent complete to be constructed in his electoral area.
He said he helped many young men and women in his electoral area to be engaged under the Nation Builders Corps (NABCO and Zoomlion and also supported people to expand their businesses.
He said if he was elected again, he would establish a scholarship scheme to help needy children in the electoral area and provide sporting kits to the youth in the area.
He said he would help in the renewal and registration of people in his area unto the NHIS and facilitate formation of neighbourhood watchdog committee in his electoral area.
Mr Diabene urged people to vote for yes in the referendum to enable individuals to contest the position of Chief Executives in the Districts, Municipal and Metropolitan Assemblies.
