He therefore pledged to discharge his duties devoid of partisan, ethnic and religious considerations to bring the development of the municipality to the next level.

Mr Antwi also expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Mr Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, the National Chairman, Bono Regional Executives and the entire National Democratic Congress (NDC) for the opportunity given him to serve the nation.

"We are all one people, and our utmost priority is to see a municipality that we can all be proud of.
This is not the time to lament, give excuses and certainly not the time to blame each other, but a time to deliver and make Sunyani Municipality great for us all", Mr Agyei stated.

In an interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in Sunyani, the President Nominee said he was confident that the Assembly would confirm his nomination as required by Article 243 of the 1992 constitution.

Mr Agyei said he would operate an open-door policy that would give way for everybody to contribute to the holistic development of the municipality and urged the people to come together and strengthen the prevailing peace of the municipality development to thrive.
