A member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Communication Team, Hamza Suhuyini, has downplayed the sincerity of the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) recent “Y?n Suro Ahunahuna” protest, describing it as politically driven rather than a genuine fight for democratic accountability.
The NPP staged the demonstration in Accra on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, with hundreds of supporters marching to denounce what they call harassment and injustice against their members.
The protest began at the Obra Spot at Kwame Nkrumah Circle. It moved toward the Ghana Police Service headquarters, where the party submitted a petition to the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Christian Tetteh Yohuno.
