Johnson Asiedu Nketia, National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has expressed gratitude to the chiefs and people of Wenchi in the Bono Region for their strong support during the 2024 general elections, describing their contribution as critical to the party’s victory.

Speaking at a rally attended by party supporters and traditional authorities in Wenchi as part of his nationwide “Thank You Tour,” Mr Asiedu Nketia said the NDC recognised the loyalty of the constituency and would not take it for granted.

He assured residents that the government would ensure the constituency benefited from key social and economic intervention programmes aimed at accelerating local development.

The Member of Parliament for Wenchi, Alhaji Seidu Haruna, also thanked constituents for renewing his mandate, describing his re-election as a call to greater service.

The Wenchi Municipal Chief Executive, Madam Gloria Opoku, said the government had already begun implementing several development projects in the municipality to improve living conditions.
