Richard Agyare, Deputy Secretary of the New Patriotic Party's (NPP) East London Chapter, has filed to contest the position of Chairman in the upcoming External Branches Election scheduled for July 19, 2026.

Agyare, who has served as Deputy Secretary, is running on a platform anchored on the acronym "SUCCESS": Service, Unity and Inclusion, Consistency, Commitment to Discipline, Empowerment, Strength of Professionals, and Sustainability.

He has outlined a 12-month action plan for the chapter. The first three months will focus on listening and engagement, months four to six on strengthening the chapter, months seven to nine on expanding impact, and the final quarter on consolidating progress.

Agyare has been active in both the East London Chapter and his home constituency of Offinso South in the Ashanti Region. He has called for peaceful internal elections and urged party members to avoid voter apathy.

He is appealing to eligible voters in the East London Chapter to elect him as Chairman to help position the party for victory in the 2028 general elections under flagbearer Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
