Striker will be given time to get over Cabinda tragedy...
Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini has confirmed that the club will give Emmanuel Adebayor as much time as he needs before returning to action in a Sky Blue jersey.
The Togo skipper was on board the team bus that was attacked by rebels in Angola whilst on their way to the African Cup of Nations. The act of terrorism left three dead and several others wounded.
Adebayor and the rest of the Togo squad have since flown back to their homeland for three official days of mourning, following which the 25-year-old forward will technically be free to return to England.
There were suggestions that City may look at ushering the striker back onto the pitch as soon as possible, but the club's new gaffer insists that this is not the case.
"I am very sorry for him," Mancini said, according to Sporting Life.
"I will just wait for him. When he comes back I will speak with him and let him decide when he wants to play. That will be okay with me."
