The Afigya-Kwabre District Chief Executive, Mr Kwaku Oppong-Kyekyeku Kaakyire, has pledged the resolve of the Mills Administration to transform the lives of Ghanaians, particularly those in rural communities.
He said everything would be done to improve access to education and health, build roads, electricity supply and social welfare programmes.
Mr Oppong-Kyekyeku was inaugurating two nurses’ quarters and a Kindergarten block at separate ceremonies at Brofoyedru, Aboabogya and Adukro in the district.
These were financed from the assembly’s share of the Common Fund and District Development Fund (DDF).
He said the assembly and for that matter the government alone could not be expected to provide the people with all their development and that it was important for the communities to accept to do their bit to complement the assembly’s efforts.
Nana Osei Kwawo, Pampaso Krontihene, said the community was grateful to the assembly for the facilities and appealed for the upgrading of the health centre in the town into a district hospital.
