Former Ghanaian Under-20 defender Bright Addae remains confident Ascoli Picchio FC 1898 would escape relegation in the Italian Serie B league.
Addae’s side recorded a 2-1 victory over bottom placed Ternana with the first goal assist from the Ghanaian international over the weekend and he is optimistic Ascoli Picchio would not join the Serie C when the season ends.
Ascoli Picchio is lying 21 on the league log out of 22 clubs and Addae in an interview with the GNA Sports said that, despite their position on the league, the 2-1 result would motivate his teammates to push harder to avoid the drop.
With eleven matches to end the season, the club has amassed 29 points out of a possible 93 having won 7, drew 8 and lost 16 matches out of the 31 matches played.
However, the 25 year- old believes his team would pick positives from their last match to be on a winning streak. On his first assist for the club this season, he expressed delight for assisting his Club to victory. Ascoli Picchio will play Sperzia on Saturday, March 24 in match-day 32 of the Italian Serie B League.
