Weekend reports suggested Liverpool could make a surprise move for United midfielder Marouane Fellaini, but the Mail says Paris Saint-Germain are his likeliest destination.
It reports that Liverpool "will not pursue a move" for the 30-year-old Belgium international, although Ligue 1 leaders PSG remain very much interested.
With Fellaini out of contract at the end of the season, reports in France suggested the Merseysiders would offer him a three-year deal.
Galatasaray, Besiktas, Roma and Monaco are also keen, but the Mail reports that "PSG have said they will weigh up an offer."
