Jane Ayieyam, the lead striker of Police Ladies, has said, she is excited with the performance of her team’s 2-0 win over Samira Ladies, in the second week league game of the National Women’s League (NWL) , Ayieyam, was on target at the Accra Technical Training Centre (ATTU) last Saturday together with Grace Animah.
Speaking in an interview with the GNA Sports, Ayieyam said she was impressed with the 100% record of her team, since the NWL begun this season.
She said, they were bent on keeping a clean sheet for themselves till the league was over.
The former star striker for the Black Maidens added that, they could not bring out their best as planned due to the poor condition of the pitch, but was confident they would maintain their lead in the league.
On the chances of the Black Queens, ahead of Africa Women Cup of Nations said, they were more focused and ever prepared for the competition.
“We want to make the host and win a reality this time around. We are up for the task and we shall go all out to succeed,” she added.
